Early Childhood Task Force
The Early Childhood Task Force is a volunteer group that advocates for unique and workable solutions to address the care and education needs of young children in our community.
Chrysalis is a Los Angeles-based nonprofit dedicated to helping economically disadvantaged and homeless individuals become self-sufficient through employment opportunities. Clients have access to a wide range of classes and services designed to improve job search skills, self-confidence, and employability.
CLARE Foundation supports youth and families by offering school and community-based drug and alcohol prevention, education, and intervention services.
Connections for Children
Connections for Children is here to help you meet your child care needs by offering resources, information, and child care referrals to all families, regardless of income or need. We can also help you find financial assistance to help cover the costs of child care, but there are eligibility requirements.
Community Corporation of Santa Monica
A Santa Monica-based non-profit organization that restores, builds and manages affordable housing for people of modest means. For more than three decades, Community Corp. has made Santa Monica a more inclusive, caring, and environmentally sustainable city.
Community for Excellent Public Schools
Community for Excellent Public Schools (CEPS) is an advocacy body for strong SMMUSD schools. The body endorses civic leaders for Santa Monica City Council and Santa Monica College Boards, as well as ballot measures.
Family Service of Santa Monica
Family Service of Santa Monica provides counseling and psychotherapy, including school-based counseling at elementary schools within SMMUSD (McKinley, John Muir, Edison Language Academy, and other elementary sites) and at Santa Monica High School. The agency also provides parenting support in the community via the Reflective Parenting Program and parent workshops.
Hospitality Training Academy
The Hospitality Training Academy's (HTA) Santa Monica Jobs Initiative Program provides employment assistance leading to economic stability to low-income individuals. The program works with older opportunity youth and adults who reside within the Pico Neighborhood and/or other designated vulnerable areas within Santa Monica.

Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles (LAFLA)
Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles (LAFLA) is a nonprofit law firm that protects and advances the rights of the most underserved, leveling the play field and ensuring that everyone can have access to the justice system. Last year, LAFLA helped more than 100,000 people in civil legal matters by providing direct legal representation and other legal assistance for low-income individuals and families across the Greater Los Angeles region, including a community office and domestic violence clinic located in Santa Monica.

Our Vision is that Santa Monica will become a model Lifelong Learning Community: a community committed to strengthening educational planning for all ages and stages of life with learning opportunities that enhance the personal, social, and professional goals of all residents.
The People Concern
Sojourn (a project of The People Concern) provides comprehensive services to adult and child victims of domestic violence. The Outreach program provides training, technical assistance, and general information to the community. Prevention programs for youth include interactive activist workshops on healthy relationships, non-violent negotiation skills, teen dating violence, anti-bullying, toxic masculinity, gender norms, and other related concepts.
Pico Youth & Family Center
Mission: To equip underserved youth and their families with the leadership and advocacy skills needed to strengthen and sustain the community in which they live; to promote peace, unity, and social justice by modeling cooperation and advancing educational and economic opportunity; to work for positive transformation and instill hope in our youth by engaging them in creating solutions to our community's problems.
Providence St. John's Child & Family Development Center
Providence Saint John's Child and Family Development Center offers families, adolescents, and children safe, nurturing, and confidential services that recognize each clients' culture and spoken languages. The programs offered focus on mental health, outreach and development, and educational needs.
St. Joseph Center
St. Joseph Center’s mission is to provide working poor families, as well as homeless men, women, and children of all ages, with the inner resources and tools to become productive, stable, and self-supporting members of the community.
St. Joseph Center - Youth Resource Team
YRT is a referral-based program that works with Santa Monica youth, ages 15-24, to help them and their families address issues ranging from basic needs and housing to mental health and educational/vocational services.
Santa Monica College
Santa Monica College is a two-year community college accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
Santa Monica College Pico Promise Program
Santa Monica College Pico Promise Program is a joint partnership between SMC and the City of Santa Monica designed to meet the needs of underrepresented youth living in close proximity to the college. The program assists, motivates, and empowers young residents of the Pico neighborhood to pursue post-secondary education.
Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District
The Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District is headquartered in Santa Monica and serves the coastal communities of Santa Monica and Malibu. It is located in Los Angeles County and serves 11,000 students in preschool through 12th grade in 10 elementary schools, two middle schools, one middle/high school, one comprehensive high school, a continuation high school, and a K-8th grade alternative school. The district is also home to 11 early childhood education centers and an adult school.
Santa Monica-Malibu PTA Council
With 15 PTA units from preschool through high school, the Santa Monica- Malibu PTA Council is where all SMMUSD PTAs come together to share and exchange information, connect with the broader education community, and build leadership skills as advocates for all children and families.
Venice Family Clinic
Venice Family Clinic is the first choice in affordable health care for low-income, uninsured, and homeless families and individuals. We provide comprehensive health care to adults and youths, including dental, mental health, substance use, and health education services. We provide teen health clinics at several of our locations, including two school-based sites.
The Growing Place
The Growing place is committed to providing the young children of working families with an exceptional quality, all-day, year-round early education program. We are a learning community sustained by a close collaboration of parents, teachers and students.
